Zoya Bhatti

Zoya is a socially engaged practitioner and producer. She currently leads on Engagement and Participation, including developing and delivering young people's programmes, planning community-led projects with artists and finding ways to make access to art and culture more equitable in the town where she is also a resident. She has recently co-founded Hillo Hub, a centre for women, promoting health and wellbeing through connection with nature, outdoor activity and connecting through faith and mindfulness. 

Over the past decade, Zoya has gained experience across public, private and third sector organisations. From a youth and community development background Zoya feels a real commitment to making a positive difference to the to the lives of those she works with, she believes in the strength behind collective voices coming together as a way to check and challenge systemic issues. In her practice, Zoya works with art and artists in collaborative and participatory ways, where people, conversations, relationships and new experiences are the medium or material of the work. 

Through the work of your hands you can conquer the world, everyone has the ability be creative, if only they find their tools!
