Programme and Practice

Hours: 35 hrs per week, Full time

Fixed term contract (up until end of current NPO period March 2026 with possible extension March 2027)

Salary £30,686 (In-Situ flat rate)

Location: The Garage, Northlight, Brierfield, Pendle, East Lancashire

Hours of work: flexible including evening and weekends

In-Situ is recruiting a new team member to co-ordinate and deliver our programme. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic person, who is passionate and knowledgeable about socially engaged art and the environment and is experienced in commissioning, projects and budget management and fundraising. 

In-Situ operates with a fluid leadership structure and equal pay: all team members are paid the same salary*, and all team members are equally involved in decision-making and the development of the organization. As such it is imperative that the new recruit is a team worker who openly contributes and shares ideas, knowledge and information. The shaping of the programme should influence the shaping of the organisation and visa versa. A creative approach is essential, as is enthusiasm and commitment. We encourage experimentation and the development of new approaches, unique to our organisation, its local context and ethos.

In-Situ is embedded in Pendle, which benefits from a multicultural community and we encourage applications from people based in the region and applications from diverse backgrounds.  

* with the exception of the internship, which is paid at the voluntary living wage

Programme and Partnerships (This is Nelson) 

30 Hours / 4 days per week

Fixed term contract (up until end March 2026)

Salary £30,686 pro rata (Actual: £28,987 based on 4 days/wk) 

Location: Nelson Town Centre various locations and The Garage, Northlight, Brierfield, Pendle, East Lancashire

Hours of work: flexible including evenings and weekends

In-Situ are seeking a Programme and Partnership role to continue the delivery of the art and regeneration programme This Is Nelson, a 3.5yr (2 yrs remaining March 2026) programme of art in regeneration project within the Nelson Town Deal Levelling up fund. 
 
This is Nelson has been developed as the arts, culture and engagement strand within Nelson Town Deal, to be able to respond to the developments of the town through a creative programme of artist commissions, community engagement and town centre activity. 
 
This is Nelson is led by In-Situ in partnerships with Building Bridges and Super Slow Way as well as host of local partners and organisations. It is funded through Levelling Up Government money and is managed by Pendle Borough Council. 
 
The Programme and Partnership role will lead with the This Is Nelson team to deliver the existing programme of activity across the 5 strands of the programme as well as lead on the development of 2 key projects that still need shaping and bringing to fruition.
