POUT Pendle

Over Summer 2022, moving image artist Petra Szemán has been working with the Pendle POUT LGBTQIA+ youth group from Tokyo, Japan, to deliver online animation sessions. We also produced a physical, moving backdrop to accompany the digital animations. The animations and backdrop will be pulled together to create a film that shows characters and landscapes (real and fantasised) that represent the group’s ideas of themselves and Pendle. Funded by PHLP, this project has been independently produced by Calum as part of his 2-year Graduate Traineeship that comes to an end in October 2022.
