Last year’s public seed scattering event on Pendle Hill brought awareness to the issues of Peat loss locally in Pendle and created a direct way for local people to restore Peat on the Pendle Hill. As part of the project, we commissioned a short documentary film, Sowing in Time, that poetically captures the process, people and Pendle Hill’s important peatlands.

The event was created by Kerry Morrison as part of her Deep Peat residency working with ecologist Sarah Robinson.

This is part The Gatherings, a series of projects in collaboration with the Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership, that explore the diverse landscapes and people surrounding the hill.

The film was created by Luca Video.
