Local artist Hannah Stringer has been involved with In-Situ since 2016. She has been commissioned to create an illustrated timeline documenting In-Situ’s journey to The Garage, which will be installed for the November opening celebrations.
She has also created illustrations for the artist bedrooms, based on local plants that relate to the site, but also draws on In-Situ’s past programme.
Cotton relates to the former mill at Northlight and to past artist residencies and performances relating to cotton and factories.
Himalayan Balsam is connected to Clean Clear Water and Burton Gardens, and is a migrant species that occurs in both the UK and Pakistan.
